01 · Executive summary

A roaster with a story, and a website that hides it

Kopi Kita roasts its own beans, sells retail packs and supplies kopitiams, cafés and offices. The website tries to speak to all of them at once and ends up selling to none. Shoppers are asked for a quotation, trade buyers find no wholesale information, and the homepage shows empty sections.

The opportunity: Kopi Kita already has what many local coffee brands lack: roasting since 1998, a low-temperature roasting process and products people know by name. A site with two clear paths, one for home brewers and one for cafés and offices, can turn that into online sales and steady wholesale enquiries.

02 · Audit findings

What visitors see first

The homepage on arrival (desktop, 12 Oct 2026). The headline (circled) is a sentence about the company; the only way forward is a small "Browse Products" text link.
01

The first screen doesn't sell anything

The homepage opens with a long sentence as its headline, "Feeling sleepy?" in small type, and a plain "Browse Products" link. There's no pack, no price, no reason to choose Kopi Kita and no button that looks like one.

Impact Visitors from Instagram, TikTok or Google decide in a few seconds whether to stay. With no product and no clear next step on screen, many leave before they see the range.

02

Coffee brand or coffee supplier? The site doesn't decide

The page title targets "Coffee Manufacturer Malaysia, Coffee Distributor, Coffee Supplier", but the homepage talks to people looking for a morning cup. Cafés, kopitiams and offices that might buy in bulk have no page of their own.

Impact Neither audience gets a clear path. Trade buyers can't confirm what Kopi Kita supplies, and shoppers are sent into a quotation flow built for trade.

02 · Audit findings (continued)

Empty promises on the homepage

The testimonial section (circled) is empty, and the text is too small and too low-contrast to read.
03

An empty testimonial section is live

The Testimonial section says "No testimonial post yet, stay tuned!" in tiny white text on a yellow band. A "Latest" heading above it has nothing under it, and the pack shot below it doesn't load.

Impact Empty sections tell visitors nobody vouches for the product. That's the opposite of what a roaster with 25 years of customers should say.

04

A confusing way to buy

Kopi O costs RM13.50 and is "Sold exclusively online", yet the only buttons are "Add to quotation" and "Inquire now". Kopi Susu shows no price at all ("Contact Us for price"). There's a single Shopee link at the bottom of the homepage and no cart.

Impact A shopper ready to spend RM13.50 is asked to request a quote. Most won't. Sales that could happen in a minute move to email or WhatsApp, or are lost.

02 · Audit findings (continued)

Credibility, visibility & polish

05

The roasting story is buried

The About page mentions low-temperature roasting, a real point of difference, in one sentence after filler copy. There's no roastery information, no wholesale or café supply offer, no office coffee plan and no price list to download.

Impact Café owners and office managers shortlist suppliers they can check quickly. Without visible capabilities, Kopi Kita loses those enquiries to roasters whose sites answer the questions.

06

SEO that works against itself

The homepage title is a list of keywords. The homepage, About and Products pages share the same five-word meta description, "Kopi Kita makes coffee." The H1 is a full sentence rather than a clear statement of what Kopi Kita sells.

Impact Weaker rankings for searches like "kopi o online" or "coffee supplier for cafés Malaysia", and plain-looking listings in Google.

07

Copy that needs a careful edit

The headline says "every single walks of life", the About page says "Our main ingredient are beans", and the same page calls coffee "a captivating elixir that breathed new life into every sip". The "Weekly series" on the News page stopped in March 2026.

Impact Small mistakes weaken trust, especially with trade buyers who judge a supplier's professionalism from its website.

08

A template platform holds it back

The site runs on a NewPages template ("Powered by NEWPAGES" and a visitor counter in the footer). On a phone, PageSpeed scores it 41 out of 100 and the main content takes 6.8 seconds to appear. We also found a broken logo image and an "Old catalogue" link that leads nowhere.

Impact Slow pages on mobile data cost visitors from social media, and the template limits what can be added as the business grows: a real checkout, a trade portal or a Bahasa Malaysia version.

03 · Industry benchmark

What a coffee brand and roaster site should do

Coffee roasters that sell to both home brewers and businesses split the journey from the first screen: "Shop coffee" or "Supply my café". Each path then answers its audience's questions quickly.

Home brewer path

Office workers, students, families and gift buyers who drink kopi at home

  1. Hero with the packs, one clear promise and a Shop button
  2. Shop by taste and brew method: kopi O, kopi susu, beans, ground, 3-in-1
  3. Product pages with roast level, tasting notes, brewing guide and price
  4. Cart and checkout with FPX, e-wallets and delivery times, plus marketplace links
  5. Reviews, brewing tips and a subscription for regulars

Trade path

Kopitiams, cafés, offices, hotels and resellers

  1. "Why Kopi Kita": since 1998, low-temperature roasting, roasting capacity
  2. Solutions pages: café supply, office coffee, hotel and event packs, private label
  3. Price list and minimum order quantities to download
  4. A short wholesale enquiry form, routed to the right person
  5. Café partners and stockists shown with permission

Trust builders

  • Customer reviews on product pages
  • Roastery photos or a short video
  • A stockist and café finder
  • Certificates held, shown as text, not only on pack photos

04 · Proposed solution

A two-phase plan

Phase 1 fixes the most visible problems on the current site within two weeks. Phase 2 moves the shop to Shopify with a separate wholesale section, so shoppers can buy and cafés can enquire.

Phase 1 · Quick wins

7–10 working days

Remove what's hurting credibility today and make buying easier, without changing platform.

  • Hide the empty testimonial section, or fill it with real reviews
  • New hero with packs, one promise and a clear Shop button
  • Prices and Shopee links on every retail product
  • Fix the typos and rewrite the About page
  • Unique page titles and meta descriptions
  • A proper H1 and heading structure
  • Fix the broken image and catalogue link
  • A short wholesale enquiry form on the Contact page

Phase 2 · Rebuild & grow

30–40 working days

A fast, bilingual shop that sells directly to home brewers and brings in qualified wholesale enquiries.

  • Shopify store with FPX, e-wallets and delivery rules
  • Homepage split: "Shop coffee" or "Supply my café"
  • Product pages with roast, tasting notes, brewing guides and reviews
  • Coffee subscription for regular buyers
  • Wholesale section: café supply, office coffee, private label
  • Price list downloads and enquiry forms by type
  • Roastery story with photos or video
  • English and Bahasa Malaysia versions
  • Analytics, conversion tracking and WhatsApp routing

06 · Next steps

Getting started

We'd suggest starting with Phase 1. It removes the biggest credibility gaps within two weeks, while we plan the rebuild together.

  1. 1

Access & baseline. Website, domain and analytics access; record speed, traffic and enquiry baselines.

  2. 2

Phase 1 delivery. Quick wins applied, reviewed and published, with a before-and-after summary.

  3. 3

Rebuild discovery. Retail and trade priorities, product data, price lists, photography and translation.

  4. 4

Design sign-off → build → launch. Weekly check-ins, a staging link throughout, and redirects so no search rankings are lost.

What we need from Kopi Kita

  • Website, domain and analytics access
  • Product details, prices and pack photos
  • Wholesale price list and minimum orders
  • Customer feedback you're happy to publish
  • One point of contact for feedback

What Kopi Kita gets

  • A faster, clearer website that sells and brings in trade enquiries
  • Full ownership of the store, content and data
  • Training on updating products and prices
  • A post-launch support period for fixes

Good kopi deserves a good first sip online.

Kopi Kita has more than 25 years of roasting behind it and products people already ask for by name. This plan makes sure shoppers can buy in a minute and cafés can say yes.

This is a sample report about a fictional business, made to show what Liite Audits produces.
