Copyright (DMCA) Policy
Last updated 14 October 2026
The short version
- If your work is on Liite without permission, email hi@liite.co with the details listed in section 3.
- We remove the material and tell the person who published it, who can send a counter-notice.
- Accounts with repeated valid notices are closed.
- For trademarks, phishing or anything else, use the report form.
1. What this covers
This policy is for copyright owners (or their agents) who find their work on Liite without permission: on a page at liite.co/…, an uploaded site at ….liite.site or a connected domain, a short link, a paste, a print drop or any other Liite address. We follow the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and handle notices under other countries' laws the same way.
2. Where to send a notice
Email hi@liite.co. This is the fastest route.
By post: [DMCA designated agent: name, postal address, Copyright Office registration number].
For anything that isn't copyright (trademarks, impersonation, phishing, harassment), use the report form or email hi@liite.co instead.
3. What your notice must include
- Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- The copyrighted work you say is infringed (a link to the original, or a description).
- The exact Liite address or addresses where the material appears, specific enough for us to find it.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).
4. What happens next
- A person checks that the notice is complete. If something is missing, we'll ask you for it.
- We remove or disable the material and tell the account holder, including a copy of your notice (with your contact details).
- We record the notice against the account for our repeat-infringer policy.
5. Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have the right to use it, send a counter-notice to the same address with:
- Your name, address, phone number and email address.
- The material that was removed and the address where it appeared.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any judicial district where we may be found), and that you will accept service from the person who sent the notice.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We forward the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have started court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we received the counter-notice.
6. Repeat infringers
Accounts that receive repeated valid notices are closed. We decide each case on its facts, including counter-notices that were upheld.
7. Be accurate
Under the DMCA, anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for damages. If you're not sure your work is infringed, please get advice before sending a notice.
