Terms of Service
Last updated 14 October 2026
The short version
- You own what you publish. We only use it to run Liite for you.
- Follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We remove phishing, malware and other harmful content, and may act first when people are at risk.
- Paid plans are sold by Polar as merchant of record. Cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the paid period.
- Downgrading never deletes your sites. You can export your data or delete your account yourself.
- AI output and audit reports need a human check before you publish or send them.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Liite is run by [Company legal name], [Registered address] (“Liite”, “we”, “us”). These terms cover everything we offer: pages at liite.co/yourname, uploaded sites at yourname.liite.site, short links, collections, AI features, website audits, quick tools (pastes, print drops, lists, reviews) and our free tools.
By creating an account or using Liite you agree to these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you use Liite for a business, you agree on its behalf.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give us an email address you can receive mail at, and keep your password private. One person per login.
- You are responsible for everything published from your account, including by anyone you give access to.
- Tell us straight away at hi@liite.co if you think someone else has got into your account.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you publish. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and deliver it, only as needed to run Liite for you: serving your pages and files, making backups, generating previews, share images and QR codes, and scanning uploads for abuse. The licence ends when you delete the content, apart from copies in backups, which expire on their own schedule.
You must have the rights to everything you upload or link to. Public pages are public: anyone with the address can see them. We may show a public page on Explore; you can opt a site out in its settings.
Free plans show a small “Made with Liite” badge on your page. Paid plans can turn it off.
4. Acceptable use and safety checks
Everything on Liite must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. To keep visitors safe we check uploads and links automatically (file checks, phishing patterns, Google Safe Browsing and, on paid plans, VirusTotal). An upload that looks risky may be held for review before it goes live.
We may remove content, hold or suspend a site, or close an account that breaks these terms or the policy. Where there's a risk of harm we act first and tell you afterwards.
5. Usernames, addresses and domains
- Usernames and
liite.siteaddresses are not property. We may reclaim names that impersonate others, infringe trademarks or sit unused. - Some names are reserved for Liite and can't be claimed.
- If you rename a site, the old address redirects to the new one for 30 days and is then released for anyone to claim.
- If you connect your own domain, you must own or control it and keep its DNS pointed at us. We handle the certificate.
6. The free plan
- The free plan is free with the limits shown on our pricing. We may change free limits with notice.
- Pages built from blocks don't need a card. To publish an uploaded site on the free plan you need a card on file; it isn't charged unless you buy a plan.
- Uploaded sites on the free plan go offline 7 days after you last publish them. We email you before that happens, and republishing or upgrading keeps them online.
7. Paid plans, trials and billing
Payments are handled by Polar, which sells Liite subscriptions to you as the merchant of record. Polar takes your payment, charges any sales tax or VAT and issues your invoices, under its own terms. We never see your full card details.
- Monthly and yearly plans are paid in advance and renew automatically until you cancel.
- The 14-day Pro trial needs a card. If you don't cancel before it ends, the plan you picked starts and is charged.
- Lifetime Pro is a one-time payment for Pro limits for as long as Liite runs the Pro plan, limited to 500 purchases. It never includes higher plans.
- You can cancel any time in Billing. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.
- We may change prices for future periods. We'll tell you at least [notice period, e.g. 30 days] before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
8. Downgrades, cancellation and closing your account
If your plan ends or you move to a smaller one, we don't delete your sites. Anything over the new plan's limits becomes read-only, custom domains and passwords the plan doesn't include are switched off, the badge comes back, and older versions beyond the plan's limit are removed.
You can export your data and delete your account at any time in Account settings. If a subscription is still renewing, cancel it in Billing first. Deleting your account removes your sites, files and the data collected through them; see the Privacy Policy for timings.
9. AI features
- AI can be wrong. Check what it writes, including prices, facts and links, before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish.
- Each plan includes AI credits each month. Unused credits don't carry over. Credits have no cash value.
- If you add your own AI provider key (“bring your own key”), it stays in your browser and requests go straight from your browser to that provider, under your agreement with them and at your cost.
- Don't use AI features to create anything the Acceptable Use Policy forbids.
10. Website audits
- Audits look at a website's public pages only, follow its
robots.txtand identify themselves as Liite. Only audit sites you have a genuine business reason to review. - Reports are written with AI from what we capture. We check that each finding points at real evidence, but you are responsible for reviewing a report before you send it, and for what you say to the people you send it to.
- If you store an Anthropic key on your agency profile, we keep it encrypted and use it only to run your audits. Usage on that key is billed to you by Anthropic.
11. Other services
Pages can embed or link to other services (YouTube, Spotify, analytics pixels, payment links and more). Those services are run by others under their own terms. If you add tracking pixels to your site, you are responsible for any consent your visitors need to give; Liite offers a consent banner for this.
12. Availability and changes to Liite
We work to keep Liite fast and online, but we don't promise it will never be interrupted. Keep your own copies of anything important. We may change, add or remove features; if we remove something you pay for, we'll tell you in advance.
13. Disclaimers
Liite is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
14. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and [minimum amount, e.g. USD 100]. We don't limit liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15. Claims about your content
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you published or the way you used Liite in breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you or show a notice in the dashboard at least [notice period, e.g. 30 days] before it applies. If you keep using Liite after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can close your account.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by [Governing law, e.g. the laws of …], and disputes go to [Courts with jurisdiction], unless the law where you live as a consumer gives you the right to bring a claim there.
