Refund Policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

The short version

  • The 14-day Pro trial is free. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing.
  • Monthly and yearly plans can be cancelled any time and run to the end of the paid period.
  • Changed your mind about a yearly plan or Lifetime Pro? Ask within the window in sections 4 and 5 for a full refund.
  • Polar handles the payment and the refund; you ask us.

1. Who handles your payment

Liite's plans are sold through Polar, our merchant of record. Polar takes the payment, charges sales tax or VAT, issues your invoice and sends any refund back to the card or account you paid with. Polar's own buyer terms apply alongside this policy. Ask us first: we decide refunds and ask Polar to process them.

2. The free trial

Pro comes with a 14-day free trial. You add a card to start it, and nothing is charged during the trial. Cancel in Billing before the trial ends and you won't be charged at all.

Forgot to cancel? Email us within [number] days of the first charge and we'll refund it in full, as long as you haven't used the paid plan since.

3. Monthly plans

Pro ($8 a month or $72 a year) and Business ($16 a month or $144 a year) renew automatically. You can cancel any time in Billing, and your plan keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for.

We don't refund part-used months. [Business decision: refund a first monthly payment on request within N days?]

4. Yearly plans

  • If you change your mind, email us within [14] days of buying or renewing a yearly plan and we'll refund it in full.
  • After that, cancelling stops the next renewal and the plan runs to the end of the year you've paid for. We don't refund unused months.

5. Lifetime Pro

Lifetime Pro is a one-time payment of $99 for Pro limits, sold to the first 500 buyers. It doesn't renew, so there's nothing to cancel.

  • You can ask for a full refund within [14] days of buying it. After that, it isn't refundable.
  • A refunded lifetime purchase moves the account back to the free plan.
  • [Business decision: what lifetime buyers get if Liite closes or the Pro plan is retired, e.g. notice period, data export, partial refund]

6. Changing plans

To change plans, use Billing or the customer portal it links to. [Business decision: how upgrades and downgrades mid-period are charged (prorated now, or from the next period)] Moving to a smaller plan or the free plan never deletes your sites: anything over the new limits becomes read-only until you remove it or upgrade again.

7. When we refund without being asked

  • If you were charged twice or charged by mistake.
  • If we remove a feature you've paid for in advance, we refund the unused part of that period on request.
  • If Liite is down for a long stretch: [Business decision: service credits or refunds for downtime?]

8. When we don't refund

  • Accounts closed for serious or repeated breaches of the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • AI credits that have been used. Credits have no cash value and don't carry over between months.
  • Charges from other providers you connect, such as your own AI key or domain registrar.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. [Lawyer to confirm: how the withdrawal right applies once the plan has started, and the wording needed at checkout]

10. How to ask for a refund

Email hi@liite.co from your account's email address with the date of the charge. Once we approve it, Polar sends the money back to how you paid; banks usually take 5 to 10 business days to show it. Please ask us before disputing a charge with your bank, which can freeze the account while it's investigated.
