Workshop
Build hardware people can press, turn and hear
Put keys, knobs, faders, switches, lights and screens on a case, or shape bodies of your own with lids, triggers and wheels that move. Wire them so they work and share it at liite.co/workshop/your-product, photographed in the browser and clicking the way each material would.
liite.co/workshop/your-productFree to build by hand. AI comes with Pro and Business.
Build it from parts
On every plan, Free included. Start from the pocket synth above or a blank case.
- A library of 86 parts
- Keys and keycaps in three profiles, rubber pads, keybeds, knobs, encoders, faders, rocker and rotary switches, a joystick, a D-pad, a trackball, LEDs, screens, a needle meter and a Nixie tube, ports, screws, feet, vents and badges. Plus ready-made tools, vehicles, furniture, wearables, instruments and toys whose triggers, wheels and lids move. Each one is sized in millimetres.
- Lay them out on a case
- Drag parts onto a case and they snap to half-millimetre steps. Nudge, turn and duplicate them, or make a row or a grid of keys in one go. Then set the case's size, corners, edge, finish and colour.
- Make parts of your own
- The part builder stacks shapes, lights and cut-outs, picks the finish and colour, and decides how the part moves (press, toggle, turn, spin or slide), how it feels and how it clicks.
- Wire it so it works
- A knob dims a light, an encoder counts on a screen, a switch is the power. Wires can scale, invert, latch, count or tick on a clock, with no code to write.
- It feels like the real thing
- Keys travel and spring back, knobs stop on their detents, and each material has its own click, made as you play. Most phones give a small tap on each click, and keys can follow your real keyboard.
- Keyboard and screen readers too
- Every part has a real control over it, so you can tab to a knob and turn it with the arrow keys.
- Match a real product
- Lay a photo of a real device over the editor to get the sizes right. The photo stays in your browser. Download a sharp picture of the result for a deck or a launch page.
- Desks and cables
- Put your products side by side on a desk and drag cables between their jacks: turn a knob on one and a light on the other dims. Publish the desk as a link like any product.
Not just a case with buttons
Build the shape itself, then decide what moves. A drill with a trigger, a lamp on two hinges, a bicycle whose wheels turn: on every plan.
- Shape bodies of your own. Draw a profile in millimetres and extrude it, turn it, sweep it along a path or loft between outlines. Cut holes, join and intersect shapes, round and chamfer edges, hollow a shell and repeat in rows or circles. Every number stays editable in the Bodies panel.
- Make anything move. Give any body a joint: a lid on a hinge, a drawer on a slide, a wheel that turns, a stick on a ball, a key that presses, a spring that wobbles. Gears turn together and linkages follow. Drag it on screen or bind it to a real key, and the controls are made from whatever moves.
- Part programs for organic shapes. For a figure, a plant or a sculpted grip, write a short program that builds the mesh. It runs sandboxed in your browser, and your public page loads only the shape it made.
- Faces with their own finish. Pick the top, a side or a region of a body and give it its own finish, colour, print or texture, like knurling, ribs or a grille.
Photographed, not just drawn
Every product gets a camera, a light, a backdrop and a colour grade, so it looks like a product shot.
- 7 looks. Studio, Noir, Pastel, Golden hour, Blueprint, Dark desk and Paper: each sets the camera, the light, the backdrop, the colour grade and how worn the product looks. Change any of it, roll a die for a new variation, and save the look with your product.
- A stage for every product. Your product's page is a full-width stage with a Controls panel and a toolbar: Top, Hero, Front and Close views, full screen, mute, keyboard shortcuts and sharp pictures to download, with a transparent background if you like.
- Play for me. One press plays your product: keys, knobs and switches move in turn. Left alone it stays alive, with lamps that breathe, screens that tick and a camera that drifts a little.
- Sound with a body. Clicks ring through the case they're in, soft presses sound soft, and a fader rubs as it slides.
Or describe it and let AI build it
On Pro and Business, AI builds from the same library and parts you use, so everything it makes stays editable by hand.
- Describe a product. Say what you want, or add a photo, and AI lays out a product from the library, adds the parts it's missing and wires them up.
- Describe a part. Ask for one part (a chunky arcade button, a toothed volume wheel) and get it in your parts, ready to place.
- Edit with AI. Ask for a change, like a brushed aluminium case or a knob that dims the light. It's one step you can undo.
- Sounds. Describe a click (a deep keyboard thock, a soft rubber pad) and pick the take you like for any part.
- Labels and artwork. Have AI draw a label, a sticker or screen art and place it on your product, or upload your own picture.

A pocket drum machine with a 4 × 4 grid of rubber pads, tempo and volume knobs, an OLED screen and a play key.

Questions about Workshop
- What can I do on Free?
- Build by hand from the whole library: 3 products and 10 parts of your own, with wiring, sharing, embeds and remixing. AI isn't part of the Free plan.
- What do Pro and Business add?
- AI, paid in credits: a product built by AI costs 20 credits, a part 5, an edit 20, a sound 4 and a label or picture 2, from 500 credits a month on Pro and 1,500 on Business (about 25 and 75 products built by AI). Also 100 products on Pro (unlimited on Business), private products, your own artwork, and embeds without the Liite mark. Lifetime Pro runs its AI from its one-time credits.
- Do I need to know electronics or code?
- No. Parts come ready to use, and wiring is picking what controls what. Nothing you build is a real circuit, so nothing can break.
- Can I make a copy of a real product?
- You can build something shaped like a device you love. Just don't put another company's logo or brand name on it as its branding: the check before the gallery looks for that, and those products stay out of it.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Yes. It draws with WebGPU where your browser has it and WebGL 2 where it doesn't, and it stops drawing when nothing moves, to save your battery.
- Can I use my own AI key?
- Yes, on Pro and Business. Save a Claude key in Settings → AI and Workshop's AI runs in your browser on that key, without using your monthly allowance. The key stays in your browser.
