Link in bio
Link in bio for newsletters
Put an email sign-up form at the top of your link in bio, with your latest issue and your archive below it. People who tap the link in your bio can subscribe in one step, without leaving the page.
Why a newsletter needs its own link in bio
Most links in a bio send people to a page that asks them to do something else first: find the subscribe button, close a pop-up, scroll. Every step loses a few readers.
If your newsletter is the thing you want people to join, make the sign-up the first thing they see when they tap your link. Your latest issue sits right under it, so new readers can see what they're signing up for.
What to put on the page
Keep it short. Readers came from a post that mentioned your newsletter, so answer three questions: what it is, how often it comes, and where to sign up.
- One line on what you write about and how often, such as "A short letter about cooking on a budget, every Sunday"
- An email sign-up form, at the top
- A link to your latest issue, so people can read before they subscribe
- A link to your archive or your newsletter's own site, if it lives on a platform such as Substack
- Your socials, in a row at the bottom
Two ways to run it
If your newsletter already lives on a newsletter platform, keep it there. Link to your publication's subscribe page and your latest post from your Liite page.
If you'd rather start simple, collect addresses on Liite itself. The Email sign-up block adds people to your subscribers, sends each one a link to confirm, and lets you export the list as CSV. On Pro and up you can send plain-text updates to confirmed subscribers from the dashboard.
How to set it up
Start from the Personal template, the example on this page.
- Change the title and the line under it to your newsletter's name and what it's about.
- Add an Email sign-up block and drag it to the top, or a link to your publication's subscribe page.
- Add a link to your latest issue. Change it each time you publish.
- Publish, and put liite.co/yourname in your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profiles.
A real example
The Personal template, compiled by the same code that builds every Liite page, renamed for a sample newsletter. Add an Email sign-up block at the top and swap the blog link for your latest issue.

Questions
- Can I add a Substack sign-up form to my link in bio?
- You can link to your Substack publication's subscribe page from a Liite page. A Substack embed isn't available yet. If you'd rather collect addresses on the page itself, use Liite's Email sign-up block and export the list.
- Where do Liite sign-ups go?
- To the subscribers for that page, under Subscribers in the dashboard. Each sign-up gets an email to confirm. You can see, export as CSV or delete subscribers at any time.
- Can I send my newsletter from Liite?
- On Pro and Business you can send plain-text broadcasts to confirmed subscribers, up to a monthly allowance. Free can collect sign-ups but can't send broadcasts. For a designed newsletter with an archive, keep using a newsletter platform and link to it.
- Is the sign-up form free?
- Yes. The Email sign-up block is on the Free plan, which includes a monthly number of messages and sign-ups. Paid plans have no monthly cap.
- Will my readers see a cookie banner?
- No. Liite counts views and clicks without cookies, so there's no banner to show.
