Add to calendar button
Fill in your event and copy a row of add to calendar buttons as HTML, one for each calendar. They're plain links, so they work in website builders and email templates without a script.

Give your event a page
Make an event page on Liite with your calendar links as buttons, a map to the venue and a sign-up form, all at one address you can share or print as a QR code.
Add to calendar button: what to know
This page starts the calendar link generator for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the calendar link generator.
What the HTML does, and what it can't
Each button is an ordinary <a> link that opens the visitor's calendar with your event filled in. There's no script, so it survives email clients that strip JavaScript and website builders that only allow simple HTML blocks. The style is written inline, so it looks the same wherever you paste it.
Apple Calendar has no web link of this kind. For Apple users, download the .ics file, upload it to your site and add one more link to it, labelled Apple Calendar.
The link formats aren't official
Google documents its Publish event button but not the address format behind event links, and Microsoft doesn't document the Outlook compose links either. The formats used here are the ones in wide use. They have worked for years but could change, so test each button before a big send, and keep the .ics link as a fallback.
Questions
How do I add an Add to calendar button in an email?
Copy the HTML above into your email tool's HTML or code block, or link a button you already have to the Google, Outlook or Yahoo address. Send yourself a test before sending to your list.
What does Add to calendar mean?
It's a link that opens your calendar with an event already filled in: title, time, place and notes. You check it and save it with one click.
Why can't I add to my calendar?
Usually the button is for a calendar you don't use, or you're signed out of it. Try the .ics file, which most calendar apps open, or sign in to the right account first.
