PDF QR code generator
A QR code can't hold a PDF itself, but it can hold a link to one. Put your PDF online, paste its link here, and scanning the code opens the document.
Free, no sign-up. Runs in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent to us or stored.
At a glance
- Maximum capacity
- The largest QR code (Version 40, level L) holds 2,953 bytes, far too little for a PDF file. That's why the code holds a link.

- Code size
- A link like example.com/menu.pdf fits in a Version 3 code (29 × 29 modules) at level Q. Worked out by this tool's encoder.

- Error correction
- Level Q restores about 25% of the code, which helps on menus and flyers that get handled.

A QR code you can keep changing
The code above always opens the same thing. Every Liite page comes with its own QR code that counts scans, and you can change the page behind it any time without reprinting.
PDF QR code generator: what to know
This page starts the QR code generator for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the QR code generator.
Put the PDF online first
You need a public link that opens the file without a login. Options include your own website, a Google Drive file shared with Anyone with the link, or a Liite page with the PDF on it. Test the link in a private browser window.
Update the PDF without reprinting
The code always opens the same link. If you replace the file at that link, the code shows the new version. If the file moves to a new link, you need a new code. A page you control, such as your Liite page, avoids this: change the page, keep the code.

Upload the PDF somewhere public, copy its link and paste it above. The PDF itself can't be stored inside the code.
