How to use it

  1. Choose the key type (CPF, CNPJ, mobile, e-mail or random key) and type the key exactly as it's registered in your bank app.
  2. Add your name and city. Add an amount, a message or an order id if you want them.
  3. Download the QR code as PNG or SVG, or copy the copia e cola text.
  4. Pay a small amount from another account and check the name your bank shows before you print it.

What is in a static Pix QR code

A Pix QR code holds a short text called a BR Code, built on the EMVCo standard for payment QR codes. The static version carries your Pix key, the receiver name and city, and optionally an amount, a short message and a transaction id. A four-character checksum at the end lets the payer's app spot a damaged code. The same text, pasted into a bank app instead of scanned, is what people call Pix copia e cola.

When someone pays, their bank looks your key up in the Banco Central directory (the DICT) and shows the name registered for it. The name you type here is required by the format but is not what the payer sees, so a typo in the key is the thing to watch.

Key formats

Enter the key the way you registered it. A CPF is 11 digits and a CNPJ 14 characters; the tool checks their check digits, including the new letters-and-numbers CNPJ. A mobile key is written +55, area code and number, so (61) 91234-5678 becomes +5561912345678. An e-mail key is the address you registered. A random key is the 36-character code with dashes that your bank gave you.

Static or dynamic (estático ou dinâmico)

A static code can be paid many times, so it suits a sticker at the till, a menu or an invoice. Leave the amount empty and the payer types it; set one and their app fills it in. The order id (txid) goes back to you with the payment, which helps you match it to an order. It takes up to 25 letters and numbers.

A dynamic code holds a link to a charge your bank or payment provider creates for you, with its own amount and expiry. Only that provider can make one, so this tool makes static codes. Banco Central's manual says a static code may be built by the receiver's own software or any other software, outside its Pix API.

Before you print

Scan the code with a different bank app and send yourself a small payment. Check the name on the confirmation screen and that the money lands in the right account. Print the SVG at least 3 cm wide with a white border, and put the copia e cola text next to it for people paying on the same phone.

Questions

Is this Pix QR code generator free?

Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no account and adds no fee. Payments go straight from the payer's bank to yours.

What is Pix copia e cola?

The text inside the QR code. People paying on their phone copy it and paste it into their bank app's Pix area instead of scanning.

Why does the payer see a different name?

Pix apps show the name registered for your key in Banco Central's directory, not the name in the code. Check that name when you test the code.

Can I make a dynamic Pix QR code here?

No. A dynamic code points to a charge hosted by your bank or payment provider, so only they can create it. This tool makes static codes.

Can the payer change the amount?

If you leave the amount empty, they type it. If you set one, their app fills it in. For a different amount, make a new code.
