Short links
Permanent URL shortener
A Liite short link has no expiry date: it keeps redirecting until you delete it, or until an end time or click limit that you chose yourself. You can change where it points at any time, so a printed link never has to go out of date.
Why short links stop working
A short link is only as permanent as the service behind it, and services change their rules. Google stopped making new goo.gl links in 2018 and has since switched off old ones that nobody used.
That matters most for things you can't edit: a printed flyer, a book, a slide deck someone downloaded, a QR code on a shop window.
How long a Liite link lasts
A Liite short link has no end date of its own and isn't removed for being quiet. It keeps redirecting until one of these happens, and each one is your choice:
- You delete the link. Anyone who opens it then sees "Link not found".
- You set an end time. After it, the link shows "Link expired".
- You set a click limit. Once that many people have used it, the link shows "Link expired".
Permanent address, changeable destination
The address and where it goes are separate. If the page you linked to moves, edit the link's destination and every copy of the short link, printed or not, goes to the new place.
On Pro and up you can have an email when a link's destination stops working, at most once every 12 hours, so you hear about a broken page before your readers do.
What the plans change
Free accounts have 10 short links, Pro 100 and Business has no set limit. No plan puts an expiry date on its links.
Click history is kept for 7 days on Free, 90 days on Pro and 2 years on Business. Older history drops off; the link itself keeps working.
A real example
A sample short link for a printed price list. The QR code is made by the same library and in the same way as the one in your dashboard; the address is an example, not a live link.
A sample link. The QR code is real and made the same way as in your dashboard; the click numbers are not.

Questions
- Do Liite short links expire?
- Not on their own. A link keeps working until you delete it, or until an end time or click limit you set on it.
- Are links deleted if nobody clicks them?
- No. A link that hasn't been clicked for months works the same as a busy one.
- Can I change the destination of a permanent link?
- Yes, at any time and on every plan. The short address stays the same, so printed copies and QR codes follow the change.
- Is a permanent short link free?
- Yes. Free accounts have 10 short links with no expiry. Pro has 100 and Business has no set limit.
