Pastes

Share text online

To share text online, paste it at liite.co/new, choose how long it should last and publish: you get a clean, readable page at a short liite.co/n/ address. You don't need an account.

When a link beats a message

Long text breaks up in chat apps, loses its formatting in email and gets cut off in a text message. A link opens the whole thing as one page, the same on every phone and computer.

It also gives you one copy. If you spot a mistake, fix the paste and everyone who opens the link sees the new version.

Your formatting comes along

Copy from a document or a web page and paste: headings, bold, lists, tables and code blocks are turned into Markdown, and the published page shows them properly. You can also type Markdown yourself.

The page has no ads and no scripts. It follows the reader's light or dark setting and prints cleanly.

  • Up to 200 KB of text in one paste.
  • Without an account, web links in your text show as plain text, not clickable links.
  • With an account, links are clickable, after we check them with Google Safe Browsing.

How long it stays up

Without an account, a paste lasts 1 hour, 1 day or 7 days. A Free account can keep one for up to 30 days, and paid plans can keep it with no end date. Free accounts keep up to 10 pastes at a time.

Without an account you get a secret edit link once, right after you publish. Save it: it's the only way to change or delete the paste.

A real example

Sample notes rendered by the same code as every live paste page, as a paste made without an account. The headings, list and table were pasted from a document and kept their shape.

Rendered by the same code as every liite.co/n/ paste. Sample text.

Questions

Is there a limit on how much text I can share?
One paste holds up to 200 KB of text, which is a long document. If you need more, split it into two pastes.
Can I change the text after sharing the link?
Yes. Without an account, use the secret edit link you were shown once after publishing. With an account, open the paste from your list. The link stays the same.
Why aren't the links in my text clickable?
Pastes made without an account show web addresses as plain text, so they can't be used to send people to harmful sites. Sign in and the links in your pastes become clickable after a Safe Browsing check.
Can I share code this way?
Code blocks keep their spacing and show in a monospaced font, but there is no syntax colouring and no raw text view. For code that needs those, use a code-focused paste site.
