Order forms
Cake order form
A cake order needs the date, the size, the flavour, the words on top and any allergies, not just a name. Put your cakes and those questions on one page, and confirm each order before you start baking.
How to ask for a cake order
Most back-and-forth over a cake comes from details nobody asked for. Ask them all on the form, once.
- The date and time they need it, as a text question
- The size or number of servings, as separate cakes
- The flavour, as an option on the cake
- The message to write on the cake
- Allergies and dietary needs
- Pickup or delivery, and an address if you deliver
Sizes, flavours and prices
On Liite, a product's options share its price. So list each size as its own cake (a 6-inch and an 8-inch, say) with its own price, and put the flavours on each one as options: Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon.
Extras that cost more, like a figure on top or a second tier, work the same way: add them as their own product, and the order adds them to the total.
Notice, deposits and saying no
An order is a request until you confirm it, so a cake for tomorrow never books itself in. Put your notice period in each cake's description and in the "what happens next" text.
Liite doesn't take payments, so deposits are up to you. Confirm the order, send your bank details or a payment link, and only bake once you're paid. When your week is full, mark the cakes Sold out.
Keeping track of cake orders
Every order arrives under Forms โ Orders with a number, the cakes and every answer, including the message and the date. Add a private note when you agree a design, mark it Confirmed once the deposit lands, and export your orders as CSV to plan the week's baking.

Questions
- What should a cake order form include?
- The date needed, the size or servings, the flavour, the message to write, allergies, pickup or delivery, and the buyer's name and phone number. Add anything specific to how you work, like a theme or colours.
- Can customers upload a photo of the cake they want?
- Not on the order form. Ask them to describe it in a question or the note, or to send the photo when you call to confirm. Showing a gallery of your own cakes helps people pick.
- How do I take a deposit?
- Liite doesn't take payments. Write your deposit rule in the "what happens next" text, confirm the order, and send your bank details or a payment link. Mark the order Confirmed when the deposit arrives.
- Can I charge more for a bigger cake?
- Yes. Add each size as its own product with its own price. Options, such as flavours, all share the product's price.
