Order forms

Food order form

A food order form lists what you're cooking this week, takes orders until your cut-off and asks about allergies. With Liite, people order from a link on their phone and you get every order, priced, in one list.

Who uses a food order form

Meal prep cooks taking orders for the week, caterers quoting trays for an event, home cooks selling to neighbours, and anyone collecting a group's lunch order. The job is the same: a list of dishes, a deadline, and a clear record of who wants what.

Cut-offs and delivery days

Say when orders close and when food goes out in the "what happens next" text, for example "Order by Thursday 8pm for Sunday delivery". Name your delivery options in your own words, such as Sunday delivery or Saturday pickup.

To stop orders at the cut-off, schedule the Products block to disappear at that time, or mark dishes Sold out as they fill.

Allergies and dietary needs

Add a question for allergies on every food order form, and a choice question if you cook to set diets. Write the main allergens in each dish's description too, so people can check before they order.

  • "Any allergies we should know about?" as a text question
  • "Diet" as a choice: None, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-free
  • Main allergens in each dish's description

Group and office orders

When one person orders for a group, they add each dish with a quantity and list who gets what in the note. If you'd rather each person orders their own, share the link with the whole group and match orders by name.

A real example

The Bakery template's list layout, compiled by the same code that builds every Liite page, with a sample week of meal prep dishes in place of the bakes. The kitchen and prices are samples.

Questions

Can I use Google Forms to take food orders?
Yes, many people do. A Google Form lists dishes as questions, but it doesn't show prices next to a running total. A Liite page shows each dish with its photo and price, adds up the order and sends you a numbered order. See our guide to order forms in Google Forms.
Where can I create a free online food order form?
On Liite's Free plan: start from the Bakery template, replace the bakes with your dishes, and publish. The order form is included, with a monthly number of orders.
Can customers pay online?
No. Liite doesn't take payments. Tell customers how to pay in the "what happens next" text: on delivery, by bank transfer or with your own payment link.
Can I set different days for pickup and delivery?
Yes. You name the delivery options yourself, such as "Saturday pickup" and "Sunday delivery", and the customer picks one.
