Order forms

Restaurant order form

A restaurant order form lets people order takeaway from your menu without a phone call or an app. Turn a photo of your menu into products, share one link or QR code, and confirm each order when it comes in.

From a photo of your menu to an order form

You don't need to type the menu out.

  • Take a photo of your menu and tick Take orders on this page.
  • AI reads the dishes and prices. Check every price before you go on.
  • The dishes you keep become products, grouped by category, such as Starters and Mains.
  • Add photos where you have them, and mark anything you've run out of as Sold out.

Pickup times and the kitchen

Ask for a phone number on every order, so you can call if a dish has run out. Add a question for the pickup time, and say in the "what happens next" text how long orders usually take.

Each order is numbered and lands under Forms โ†’ Orders, with an email to you as it arrives. Move it to Confirmed when the kitchen has it and Completed when it's collected.

Menu and ordering on one page

Use tabs to keep the menu, the order form and your opening hours on separate pages of the same site, such as liite.co/yourname/order. Print the page's QR code for the window or the takeaway bags.

What to know first

Liite takes order requests. It doesn't take card payments, so people pay when they collect or by your own payment link. Every option on a dish shares its price, so add a large portion as its own dish if it costs more.

A real example

The Bakery template's list layout, compiled by the same code that builds every Liite page, with sample dishes for a small takeaway. The restaurant name and prices are samples.

Questions

Can I take takeaway orders without an app?
Yes. Customers order from a web page on their phone, with no app or account. You get each order by email and in Forms โ†’ Orders.
Do customers pay for takeaway when they order?
No. Liite doesn't take payments. People pay when they collect, or you send them a payment link after you confirm.
How do I stop orders when the kitchen closes?
Schedule the Products block to show only during your opening hours, or turn Take orders off. The menu can stay up as a plain list.
Can I use it for table orders?
It's built for takeaway and pickup. A diner could order from the table using a QR code, but orders arrive as requests you confirm, not tickets sent to the kitchen.
