Order forms
Order form
An order form records what someone wants to buy, how many, and how to reach them. On Liite it sits under your products and their prices, works out the total, and sends every order to one list.
What is an order form?
An order form is how a buyer tells a seller what they want: the items, the quantities and the price, plus a name, a way to get in touch and how the goods should reach them. Its purpose is to get every order in the same shape, so nothing is missed between the message and the delivery.
On paper it's a sheet with rows to fill in. Online it's a page people open from a link, a QR code or your bio, and the answers arrive already sorted.
What a good order form looks like
Most order form design comes down to a few habits. Keep the products and the form together, and ask only what you need to fulfil the order.
- Each item with its price, a photo and a line of description
- A quantity next to each item, not a free-text box
- Options like size or flavour as a choice, not something people type
- Contact details you'll actually use: a phone number, an email or either
- Delivery or pickup, and an address only when you deliver
- A short line on what happens next: how they pay and when they get it
How to make an order form with Liite
You build the form from your products, so the prices on the page and the prices on the order always match.
- Sign up and start from the Shop template, or add a Products block to a page you already have.
- Add your products: name, price, photo, description, category and options. Or upload a photo of your price list and tick Take orders.
- Choose what the form asks for, and add up to 8 questions of your own.
- Write the "what happens next" text, then publish and share the link or the page's QR code.
After someone orders
Each order is priced from your published products and gets a number, such as #1001. The buyer lands on a private receipt page at liite.co/o/… with the items, the total and your next steps, and gets it by email if they gave an address.
You find the order under Forms → Orders. Call the buyer, message them on WhatsApp or email them, keep a private note, and move the order from New to Confirmed and Completed. Export everything as CSV when you need a spreadsheet.
What it doesn't do
Liite takes order requests, not payments. There's no checkout, no stock counts, no shipping or tax calculation, no discount codes and no separate price per option. If you need those, a shop platform with a checkout is the better fit.
A real example
The Shop template exactly as it comes, compiled by the same code that builds every Liite page: four sample products in a grid, then the order form with delivery or pickup. Swap in your own products and prices.

Questions
- What is an order form?
- A form a buyer fills in to say what they want to buy: the items, quantities and prices, their contact details and how they want to receive the order. The seller uses it to confirm and fulfil the order.
- How do I make my own order form?
- List what you sell with prices, decide what you need to know from the buyer, and put both on one page. On Liite, start from the Shop template, replace the sample products and publish. The form is built from your products.
- Is the order form free?
- Yes. The Free plan includes the Products block, the order form and a monthly number of orders. Pro and Business take more orders a month; the pricing section on the home page has the numbers.
- Can customers pay on the order form?
- No. Liite doesn't take payments and the form can't ask for card details. You confirm the order, then tell the buyer how to pay: cash, a bank transfer or your own payment link.
- Is there an order form template for Word?
- Liite doesn't make Word files. A Word template gives you a form to print or email, which the buyer fills in by hand. An online order form adds up the total and puts every order in one list, which is less work once orders come in often.
- What's the difference between an order form and an invoice?
- The order form comes first: the buyer says what they want. The invoice comes after you confirm: it asks for payment. You can make one with Liite's free invoice generator.
