Online menus

Make your restaurant menu online

Build your restaurant menu online as a page: dishes, prices and categories you edit one field at a time, shown in a menu layout that reads well on a phone. Turn on ordering if you want guests to send order requests for pickup or delivery.

Three ways to start

Pick the one closest to what you have today.

  • From a photo: take a picture of your printed menu, AI reads the dishes and prices, you check what it read, and it becomes an editable menu. This uses AI credits.
  • From a template: the Bakery starter, the example on this page, comes with sample items and an order form. Replace the items with yours.
  • From scratch: make a collection with a name, price, description and category field, add a Collection list block and pick the menu layout.

Keep it up to date

Each dish is an item with its own fields, so a new price is one edit. Changes save as a draft and go live when you publish, and the page updates by itself.

In a Products block you can mark a dish sold out for the day. Every collection keeps a history of past versions, and you can import or export the whole menu as CSV. On Pro and up you can schedule items, so a weekend brunch menu appears on Saturday morning.

Take orders from the menu

Show the dishes in a Products block and turn ordering on. Guests pick quantities and options, choose pickup or delivery and send the order. You get it under Forms → Orders, numbered, with their contact details, and they get a receipt.

There's no checkout. Guests pay you directly, at pickup or by a payment link you send once you confirm. The Free plan takes 30 orders a month.

What makes an online menu easy to read

People read menus on a phone while standing in a queue or sitting at a table. Make it quick to scan.

  • Group dishes into a few categories, in the order you serve them
  • Put the price on the same line as the dish
  • Keep descriptions to one line and name the allergens
  • Add photos only where they help someone choose
  • Put your opening hours and address at the bottom

A real example

The Bakery template, compiled by the real Pages compiler, with a sample café menu in place of the starter products. Ordering is on, so guests can send an order for pickup; turn it off for a plain menu.

Questions

How can I create a digital menu for my restaurant?
Make a free Liite account, start from the Bakery template or a photo of your printed menu, and replace the items with your dishes and prices. Publish, and the menu is live at liite.co/yourplace.
Is it free to make an online menu?
Yes. The Free plan includes one collection with up to 50 items, which covers most menus, and 30 order requests a month if you turn ordering on.
Can guests pay online?
No. Liite doesn't take payments. Guests send an order request, and you tell them how to pay: at pickup, on delivery or with a payment link you send.
Can I have my menu in two languages?
Yes. AI can translate a collection into a copy in another language. Check the copy, then show it on a second tab, which needs Pro or Business.
