Outlook signature with image
In classic Outlook for Windows, open a new email, select Signature > Signatures, choose your signature and select the Image button to insert your logo or photo. In Outlook for Mac, use See more items (...) in the Signature editor. In any version, you can also paste in a signature that already has the image in it.

Here are the steps for each version of Outlook, with sizes that keep a logo sharp but small.
Classic Outlook for Windows
- Open a new message, then select Signature > Signatures.
- In Select signature to edit, choose the signature.
- Select the Image button, find your image file and select Insert.
- To resize it, right-click the image and choose Picture. On the Size tab, change the size and leave Lock aspect ratio ticked so it doesn't stretch.
- Select OK, then OK again to save.
Microsoft's guide to signature blocks says to use a .bmp, .gif, .jpg or .png file. It also warns that VML tags in a signature can make parts of it arrive as attachments rather than inline images, so insert pictures with the Image button.
For a photo beside your details, Microsoft suggests a table: one row, two columns, the picture in the first cell and your details in the second, with the borders set to None.
New Outlook and Outlook on the web
Go to Settings > Accounts > Signatures, add or edit a signature and use the editing box to build it. Microsoft says a signature here can include text, links and pictures, such as a logo. Select Save when you're done.
Outlook for Mac
Go to Outlook > Settings > Signatures, select the signature and use See more items (...) in the Signature editor to add a photo, logo or picture.
Use a ready-made signature with your logo
The generator below lays your logo or photo out beside your name with a simple table, the same approach Microsoft describes. Put the https link to an image that's already online, such as your logo on your website, in Photo or logo URL, press Copy signature and paste it into Outlook's signature editor.

What size to use
Microsoft doesn't give a recommended size. Two rules keep a signature image looking right:
- Keep it small. Google recommends 70–100 pixels high by 300–400 pixels wide for a Gmail signature logo, with 100 × 1,000 as the most. That's a good target in Outlook too.
- Make the file twice the size it's shown at. The generator shows a photo 72 pixels wide, so a 144 × 144 image looks sharp on high-resolution screens.
If your logo appears huge in the email, resize it in Outlook's Picture > Size settings, or make the image file smaller before you insert it.
If the image doesn't show
The reader's Outlook may be blocking pictures, or the image link may not be public. See Outlook signature image not showing. For the basic signature steps, see how to change your Outlook signature.

Questions
How do I include an image in my Outlook signature?
In classic Outlook for Windows, open a new email, select Signature > Signatures, pick the signature and use the Image button to insert your file. In Outlook for Mac, use See more items (...) in the Signature editor. Or paste a signature that already includes an image.
What size should my Outlook signature logo be?
Microsoft doesn't set one. Keep a logo small: Google recommends 70–100 pixels high and 300–400 wide for Gmail signatures, which also works well in Outlook. For a square photo, about 72 pixels across is plenty.
Why isn't my image showing up in my Outlook signature?
Often the reader's Outlook is blocking pictures, which classic Outlook does by default for images from the internet. Our guide to Outlook signature images not showing covers the other causes.
Which image file types can I use?
Microsoft's signature block guide says to use a .bmp, .gif, .jpg or .png file.
