Highlights keep your best stories on your profile. A free Liite page does the same for your links: one address for your bio, with buttons, social icons and a theme that matches your covers.
Black Instagram highlight covers: what to know
This page starts the instagram highlight cover maker for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the instagram highlight cover maker.
Why white symbols, not emoji
Emoji are drawn in their own colours, so a set of them on black looks busy. Plain symbols such as ♡, ★ and ☾ are drawn as text, in the icon colour you pick. That's how this set stays strictly black and white.
You can type any symbol or up to three letters into a text cover. If you'd rather use line icons from an icon site, choose Icon image and keep recolouring on: one-colour PNG or SVG icons turn white to match.
Black that isn't quite black
Pure #000000 sits well in Instagram's dark mode, where the profile background is also near-black, but your covers may seem to vanish into it. If you want them to stand out in dark mode, try a charcoal like #1f1f1f or add a thin ring by making the icon a little smaller. In light mode, black circles read strongly against the white page.
Questions
How do I make black highlight icons?
Keep the background black and the icon colour white, then pick a symbol or a few letters for each cover. Download the set and choose each image as a cover in Edit highlight.
Can I have white covers with black icons instead?
Yes. Swap the two colours, or open the black and white covers set, which starts that way.
