Caption generator
Describe your post, pick a platform and a tone, and get three captions that fit its character limit. Add a call to action, emoji or hashtags if you want them.
Free, no sign-up. Your answers go to an AI model to write the result. We don't store them.
Make "link in bio" worth the tap
When a caption says "link in bio", send people to a Liite page at liite.co/yourname with every link they might want, and see which ones they click.
How to use it
- Describe the post: what it shows, what's new and anything people should know.
- Pick the platform and a tone, and add a call to action such as "Shop the link in bio".
- Turn emoji and hashtags on or off, press Generate, and copy the caption you like.
What makes a caption work
Most apps show only the first line or two of a caption before "more", so the opening has to earn the tap. Lead with the most interesting thing: what's new, what's useful, or a question your audience actually has. Save the background for after the cut.
Then tell people what to do next. A clear call to action, such as "Save this for your next trip" or "Booking link in bio", gives a reader who liked the post a way to act on it. One ask per caption is enough.
Tone and platform
Pick from friendly, professional, witty, minimal or bold. The same post reads differently on each platform: a witty line suits TikTok or Threads, a professional one with a little more detail suits LinkedIn, and minimal works well under a strong photo. You get three captions each time, so you can compare a few angles side by side.
Each caption stays within the platform's limit and shows its character count: 2,200 for Instagram, 4,000 for TikTok, 280 for X, 3,000 for LinkedIn and 500 for Threads. Facebook allows much more, but the captions aim for about 500 characters there, since short posts tend to get read.
Your facts, checked by you
The captions are written by AI and only use the facts you give it. If you don't mention a price, a date or a discount, it won't make one up, so put the details that matter in your description. Still, read every caption before you post it, fix anything that isn't quite true, and change words until it sounds like you.
If you turn hashtags on, a few relevant ones are added at the end. For a fuller set grouped by reach, use the hashtag generator.
How free it is
You get 5 free runs a day without an account, and 20 a day when you're signed in to Liite. After that, signed-in runs use one AI credit each from your plan. What you type is sent to the model to write the captions and isn't stored.
Questions
Is the caption generator free?
Yes. You get 5 runs a day without signing up, and 20 a day with a free Liite account. Each run gives you three captions.
Who writes the captions?
An AI model, from the description you give it. It sticks to your facts, but read each caption and edit it before you post.
How long can an Instagram caption be?
2,200 characters, as of October 2026. Only the first line or two show before "more", so put the hook first.
Can I turn off emoji?
Yes. Emoji and hashtags each have their own switch, so you can have both, one or neither.
Do you keep what I type?
No. Your description is sent to the model to write the captions, then it's gone. We don't store your inputs or the captions.
