Year Instagram highlight covers: what to know

This page starts the instagram highlight cover maker for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the instagram highlight cover maker.

Why ’26, not 2026

Text covers hold up to three characters, so letters stay large enough to read in the small circle. An apostrophe and two digits (’26) fits and reads clearly as a year. The highlight's name below the circle can still say 2026 in full.

On a phone keyboard, hold the apostrophe key to choose the curly ’ if you want it; a straight ' works too.

Keeping years in order

The files download numbered (01, 02…) in the order of your covers, so the years are easy to find on your phone when you pick each cover. Keep one highlight per year and add new stories only to the current one, so older years stay as they were.

Questions

Can I make one cover per month instead?

Yes. Use three-letter months like JAN, FEB and MAR. Add up to 12 covers in one set.

How do I add a year I left out?

Choose Add a cover, set Show to Text and type the year, such as ’19.
