Portfolio website for artists

Show your paintings, drawings or prints on one page, and let people request a print or an original from the same page. Orders come to you; buyers pay you the way you choose.

What artists need from a website

Most visitors to an artist's site want two things: to see the work properly, and to know whether they can buy it. A long statement or a busy menu gets in the way of both.

So lead with images, keep text short, and make it obvious what's for sale, at what price, and how to ask for it.

Showing work and selling it on one page

On Liite you can put a gallery of your work next to a Products block. Each print or original has a photo, a price, a description and options such as size. Visitors pick what they want and send you an order request with their name, contact details and any questions you add.

You then confirm the order and arrange payment yourself, by bank transfer or a payment link you already use. Liite doesn't take payments, so there's no checkout and no card form on the page.

What to include

Keep it to what a buyer or a gallery would look for first.

  • Your name and the kind of work you make, in one line
  • Six to twelve strong images, with title, medium and size
  • Prints or originals for sale, each marked sold out when it's gone
  • A line on commissions and how to ask about one
  • Upcoming shows or open studios, and your Instagram

How to set it up

Start from the Shop template, the example on this page, and rename it for your studio.

  • Replace the sample products with your prints: photo, price and sizes.
  • Add a Gallery block above them for work that isn't for sale.
  • Write what happens after an order, such as "We'll email a payment link within a day".
  • Publish, then put the link in your Instagram bio.

Questions

Can I sell my art from this page?
You can take order requests. Buyers choose a piece and send their details; you confirm and tell them how to pay. Liite doesn't process payments or calculate shipping, so it suits small runs better than a large online shop.
Is there a free website builder for artists?
Liite's Free plan covers one site with up to 15 blocks and up to 30 orders a month. That's enough for a small portfolio with a few prints. Pro removes the block limit and the Liite badge.
Can I show sold work?
Yes. Mark a product as sold out and it stays on the page without taking orders, or move finished pieces into a gallery block.
