Sizing for your screen
For a phone, use your screen's resolution in portrait, height first: 1179 wide by 2556 tall on an iPhone 16. A larger image is fine, because the phone scales it down. For a desktop, set 1920 × 1080 for a Full HD screen, or your monitor's own resolution, up to 4096 pixels a side.
Keep the brightest blobs away from the top of a phone wallpaper, where the clock sits, so the time stays easy to read. A little grain stops the soft blends from banding on large, bright screens.
Questions
Can I make a grainy gradient wallpaper?
Yes. This one already has light grain. Push the Grain slider towards 0.3 for a stronger film or print look.
Will the wallpaper look blurry?
Not if you download it at your screen's resolution or larger. A mesh gradient has no fine detail, so even a scaled-up image stays smooth.
