A Liite page gives your WhatsApp link a home: a WhatsApp button next to your other links, a QR code for your counter, and a count of how many people tapped it.
WhatsApp QR code generator: what to know
This page starts the WhatsApp link generator for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the WhatsApp link generator.
This code or the one in your WhatsApp settings?
WhatsApp's app has a QR code of its own that adds you as a contact. It's fine for swapping numbers face to face. The code made here does a different job: it opens a chat straight away, and it can carry a message, so people know what to say and you know where they found you.
Use a different message for each place you print the code, for example "Hi, I saw your poster" on a flyer and "Hi, I'm at table 4" on a table card. Each message needs its own code, because the message is part of the link.
Before you print
Scan the code with your own phone first and check that the right chat opens. Print it dark on a light background, keep a clear margin around it, and make it big enough to scan from where people will stand. A code behind glass or on a curved surface is harder to read, so test it there too.
If you may change the message or the number later, print a QR code for your Liite page instead and put the WhatsApp button on the page. You can then edit the button without reprinting.
Questions
Where can I find my WhatsApp QR code?
In the WhatsApp app, your own QR code is in Settings, next to your name. It adds you as a contact. For a code that opens a chat with a message ready, use the generator on this page.
How do I share my WhatsApp QR code?
Download the code from this page as an image and send it, print it or add it to your website. You can also share the wa.me link itself, which does the same thing in a message or a bio.
How do I check if someone scanned my WhatsApp QR code?
You can't with a plain wa.me code: you only see the chats that people actually send. If you need scan counts, point the QR code at your Liite page and put your WhatsApp button there.
What happens if I scan someone's WhatsApp QR code?
WhatsApp opens a chat with that number. If the code has a message, it's typed in for you, but nothing is sent until you press send.
