How to use it

  1. Choose a wide image, or drop it on the box.
  2. Pick the slide shape and how many slides you want.
  3. Add a gap if the app shows space between images, and move the crop until it looks right.
  4. Download the zip and add the slides to one post in number order.

How a seamless carousel works

A seamless carousel is one wide picture cut into slides of the same size. Each slide ends exactly where the next one starts, so when someone swipes, a line or a shape that crosses the cut keeps going. It's a simple way to show a panorama, a product range, a timeline or a story that unfolds left to right.

Design it as one image first, then split it. Leave the most important part of each slide away from the cuts, and give people a reason to keep swiping: something that's cut off at the right edge of the first slide works well.

The gap setting

Some apps show a thin space between images as you swipe. With a plain split, a straight line that crosses the cut looks slightly broken across that space. The gap setting leaves out a strip of the picture between each pair of slides, as wide as you choose, so the line seems to pass behind the space and meet up on the other side. Leave it at 0 when you want every pixel kept.

X, Instagram and LinkedIn

X takes up to 4 images in one post (checked October 2026), and on some screens it shows them as a grid rather than a swipe, so preview the post before you publish. 16:9 slides show uncropped on X. Instagram carousels take many more slides and look best at 4:5 or 1:1, so the same split works there. On LinkedIn, square or 4:5 slides work well in a multi-image post or saved together as a PDF document post.

Questions

How many slides can I make?

From 2 to 10. X takes up to 4 images per post; use more for Instagram or LinkedIn carousels.

What size should my image be?

As wide as the slides added together. Three square slides need an image about 3240 × 1080 pixels; a smaller image still works but may look soft.

Why does my carousel look broken on X?

On some screens X shows several images as a grid and crops them, so the cuts don't line up. Wide 16:9 slides crop the least. Check the post's preview before you publish.

Does it work for Instagram carousels?

Yes. Pick square or 4:5 slides and add them to one post in number order.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The slides are made in your browser and saved straight to your device.
