Instagram puzzle grid maker
A puzzle grid is a feed designed as one long picture, where each post is a piece that joins its neighbours. This page opens on the largest layout, 5 rows of 3 tiles in 3:4, so you can split a whole puzzle section at once.

Instagram puzzle grid maker: what to know

How a puzzle grid differs from a single grid post
A one-off grid post shows one picture across a few rows. A puzzle feed keeps going: you design a long, tall canvas, post it a section at a time, and every new row joins the one below it. Shapes, lines and colour bands run from tile to tile and from row to row.
Each tile also turns up on its own in your followers' feeds, so give every piece something to look at: a word, a product, a face or a bold shape. A tile that only works next to its neighbours looks empty in the feed.
How to make an Instagram puzzle grid
Design your canvas 3240 pixels wide, in sections of 7200 pixels tall. Split one section here, then post the tiles in number order. Tile 1 is the bottom-right piece and tile 15, the top-left piece, goes last.
For the next section, design it so its bottom row lines up with the top row of the last one. Use the crop sliders to nudge the split if the join is a few pixels out. Always post in full rows of three: one extra or missing post shifts every tile after it and the puzzle falls apart.
Questions
How many rows should a puzzle grid have?
As many as you like, three tiles wide. This tool splits up to 5 rows (15 tiles) at a time; split a long design in sections and post them one after another.
Can I post something else in the middle of a puzzle feed?
Only in groups of three. A single post moves every tile one place along and breaks the rows. If you need to post something else, add three posts at once to keep the rows lined up.
Is there a free Instagram puzzle grid maker online?
