Hashtags work the same way on long videos and Shorts: type # in the title or description and YouTube suggests popular ones as you go. Each hashtag links to a page of other videos that use it, so pick tags people would actually tap: the topic, the format and the audience.

For a Short, one or two hashtags in the title are usually enough, because the description is easy to miss on a phone. For a longer video, put three in the description so YouTube can choose which to show above the title.
