Questions
How do you quote a landscaping job?
Visit the property and measure each area. Price materials by the unit you buy them in (square foot of sod, cubic yard of mulch, each plant), estimate the labour, and add disposal and cleanup. Then list each part on its own line so the customer can see what they're paying for.
What does a landscaping quote look like?
Like the sample here: your details and the customer's, the property address, each piece of work with a quantity and price, the total, how long the price is valid, and your deposit and payment terms.
How do I estimate landscaping costs before I've seen the site?
Give a rough estimate, not a quote, until you've measured. Change the heading to "Estimate" and say in the notes that the price will be confirmed after a site visit.
