Telegram link to a user
You can link to a Telegram user in two ways: t.me/ plus their username, or t.me/+ plus their phone number in international format. The tool starts on the phone number link; switch to Username if the person has one.

Which one to use
Use the username link when you can. It works whatever the person's phone number privacy setting is, and it doesn't put a phone number on a public page.
Use the number link for yourself only if you're happy for people to see your number and your privacy settings allow it. Test it from a friend's phone: if it doesn't open your chat, check Settings > Privacy and Security > Phone Number in Telegram.

Can I link to someone on Telegram without a username?
Yes, with t.me/+ and their phone number, but only if their privacy settings let people find them by number. Otherwise ask them to set a username.
Will they see my phone number if I message them through the link?
