Favicon generator from SVG

Upload your SVG logo and get favicon.ico and PNG icons at every size, each drawn straight from the vector so it stays sharp. The output is image files, not an SVG favicon.

Give your page its own icon

An uploaded site at yourname.liite.site can use these files as they are: drop them in your site's folder next to index.html. Liite pages come with a share image and a QR code of their own.

Favicon generator from SVG: what to know

This page starts the favicon generator for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the favicon generator.

Why turn an SVG into PNG and ICO

An SVG favicon is one small file that scales to any size, and many browsers accept it. But Google's list of favicon formats for search results doesn't include SVG, iOS uses apple-touch-icon PNGs for the home screen, and Android reads the PNG icons in your manifest. Image files cover all of them.

If you like your SVG favicon, keep it. Add these files alongside it, and browsers pick the icon that suits them from the type and sizes in each link tag.

Getting a clean result

Use a square SVG, or one with a square viewBox, and leave a little space around the mark. A wide logo is cropped to fit the square, so a wordmark usually works better reduced to its first letter or symbol.

Questions

Can I get an SVG favicon from this tool?

No. It reads your SVG and draws it into favicon.ico and PNG files. If you want an SVG favicon as well, use your original SVG file.

Is my logo uploaded?

No. The SVG is drawn in your browser and never leaves your device.
