Give your page its own icon
An uploaded site at yourname.liite.site can use these files as they are: drop them in your site's folder next to index.html. Liite pages come with a share image and a QR code of their own.
Favicon.ico maker: what to know

Turning a PNG into favicon.ico
Choose Image and upload your PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. The tool draws it at 16, 32 and 48 pixels and packs those three images into one favicon.ico, the way the ICO format allows. A square image of at least 512 px gives the cleanest small sizes.
You also get the PNG favicons, the Apple touch icon and the Android icons in the same zip. If all you need is favicon.ico, take that one file and leave the rest.
Questions
Do I still need favicon.ico if I have PNG favicons?
It's worth keeping. Browsers ask for /favicon.ico on their own, so it covers tools and pages that don't read your link tags.
What sizes does the .ico file contain?
Three: 16, 32 and 48 px. That covers browser tabs, bookmarks and Windows shortcuts.
