Type your details and the HTML source updates under the preview, ready to copy. It's the table-and-inline-style code that mail apps keep, with nothing to install.

Free, no sign-up. Runs in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent to us or stored.

At a glance

Structure
One <table> with cellpadding, cellspacing and border set to 0, and every style written inline. No <style> block, no classes.
Font
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, at 13 to 16 pixels. No web fonts to load.
Links
Only https or http web links, mailto: for email and tel: for phone numbers. Anything else is left out.
Images
An optional https image with width and height set, border 0 and display: block. No tracking pixels.

HTML email signature code: what to know

This page starts the email signature generator for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the email signature generator.

Editing the code by hand

Copy the source into any text editor if you want to change something the tool doesn't offer. Keep to the same rules: tables for layout, styles written on each tag, and absolute https links for images. Mail apps drop style sheets and scripts, and older versions of Outlook ignore most modern layout code.

When you're done, open the file in a browser, select the signature and copy it. That gives you the formatted version to paste into a mail app's signature box.

Code or formatted signature?

Most mail apps' signature boxes are formatting editors, not code editors. Paste the code into one and you see the tags. For those, press Copy signature. Use the source when a service or app asks for HTML, or when you want to keep a copy of your signature to edit later.

Questions

How do I code an HTML email signature?

Use a table for the layout and put every style inline on its tag, with no style sheet, scripts or web fonts. This tool writes that for you from your details, so you can start from working code.

Can I paste the HTML code into Gmail?

Not as code. Gmail's signature box is a formatting editor, so it shows the tags as text. Press Copy signature and paste that instead.

Is the code free to use?

Yes. There's no sign-up and no "made with" link added to your signature. The code is made in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us.
