Pages that share well, without the tags
Every Liite page gets a share image made from its title and theme, and you can set your own title, description and image for when the link is posted. Your page lives at liite.co/yourname.
Open Graph image checker: what to know
This page starts the link preview checker for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the link preview checker.
What an Open Graph image is for
The og:image tag names the picture apps show when someone shares your page. Without it, most apps show a plain link, or pick an image from the page that may be a logo or an icon. A good image makes the link stand out in a feed or chat and tells people what they'll get before they tap.
One image for every app
The networks don't agree on a size, but their rules overlap. An image of 1200×630 pixels clears Facebook's and LinkedIn's minimums, is wider than Apple's 900 pixels and is close to X's 2:1 shape. Keep it under 5 MB, which is LinkedIn's and X's limit, and save it as JPG or PNG. Keep text away from the edges, because X's large card is 2:1, slightly wider than 1200×630.
Questions
How do I check my Open Graph image?
Paste the page's address above and press Check. The share image comes first, with its size, shape, file type and any problems, then the previews for each app.
How can I test an OG image on my own computer?
Apps and this checker can only fetch public addresses, so localhost won't work. Put the page somewhere public first, such as a preview deploy, then check that address.
Why won't my image show in the preview?
The usual causes are a relative address in og:image, an image that's too small, a file that's too big, or a server that blocks crawlers. The checker flags the first three; for the last, check that the image opens in a private browser window.
