YouTube banner resizer
YouTube recommends a 2560 × 1440 pixel banner, at least 2048 × 1152 and 16:9, under 6 MB. The resizer opens on 2560 × 1440; keep your channel name and logo in the middle strip, because most screens show only that part.

YouTube banner resizer: what to know
This page starts the social media image resizer for this case. For every option and how to use it, see the social media image resizer.
Design for the middle strip
Large screens such as TVs can show the whole 16:9 banner, but other devices and views crop it. Put your name, logo and any text in the safe area in the centre and treat the rest as background that may be cut off.
YouTube also asks you not to add shadows, borders or frames around the banner. If you start from a photo, use fill and move the crop up or down until the important part lands in the middle.
